I have been watching this series of videos on YouTube called Kit Switch. These videos give you a nice breakdown of the various weapons in Battlefield 3, and when one weapon might be better then another. Since the weapon pages on Battlelog don’t give any damage statistics, and since damage drops and different rates over distances, it can sometimes be hard to compare one weapon to another. These Kit Switch videos can be helpful at knowing what the best situation is for each weapon. I found the comparison between the shotguns and ammo types particularly interesting.
