Metro Exodus Trailer

Just checking in with the latest trailer for Metro Exodus. I absolutely love these games (see my review of the original) and have been eagerly waiting for the next one. Unfortunately we are all going to have to wait a bit longer since it was recently delayed until 2019. Still, good things come to those who wait, and Metro Exodus looks very good indeed. Check out the latest trailer from E3 below. Oh, and apparently all footage in this trailer was captured in-game from a single level. Welcome… to the Volga!

Resident Evil 2 Announcement Trailer

Capcom has released the first trailer of the Resident Evil 2 remake since it was confirmed back in 2015. Instead of a “HD Remaster” like we got with Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica, the new Resident Evil 2 game is essentially a re-imagining of the original. The remake is doing away with the fixed camera perspective in favor of a over-the-shoulder perspective present in the more recent Resident Evil games. Don’t worry though, you will still be able to explore Raccoon City as both Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy. They are focusing on a deeper narrative experience this time around, and the game is powered by Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine that was used in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard . The game comes to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on January 25, 2019.

Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer

The next RPG from the creates of The Witcher trilogy is a Cyberpunk 2077. Adapted from the tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020, it is set fifty-seven years later in dystopian Night City, California, an open world in which a group known as Edgerunners serve society in eight different roles, which the player is free to choose and customize a character from. Player agency and choice lead to alternate endings.

CD Projekt Red teased the game  5 years ago, but then we radio silent as they worked on The Witcher 3.  No news is often bad news, however this time around it looks like the opposite was true. The new trailer looks stunning.

Rage 2 Trailer

Bethesda dropped the gameplay trailer for Rage 2 today and I have to admit it looks pretty good. Avalanche Studios was a smart choice to partner with for this game. The car combat in the first Rage game was pretty weak, but Avalanche did a great job of it in Mad Max. It also looks like the game will have a much more open world and sense of place this time, something the first game failed to achieve. For more details, check out this post.
