The Minecraft server has been updated to a beta build of 1.7.2. This is a substantial update to Minecraft, so there is a higher then normal chance of bugs & stability issues with the server and the plugins that we use. Let me know if you run into anything game breaking.
TravelPortals has been added to the Minecraft server.
Portals are 3×3, and consist of 6 pieces of obsidian, a door, and a redstone torch for the center. From above, the portal looks like this:
n o n
o R o
n D n
o is a stack of two obsidian blocks, D is a door, and R is a redstone torch. n can be any block or air. It does not matter. After you have constructed the frame, place a redstone torch at the bottom. It should tell you that you have created a portal, and fill up with water.
After this, just give the portal a name, and give it the name of another portal for the destination and you’re set. As long as the destination portal exists, walking into it will take you straight there. For help in-game, type /portal help.
/portal name [name] sets the name of the portal in front of you.
/portal warp [name] sets the name of the portal that the portal in front of you warps to.
/portal info gives basic information about the portal in front of you.
The Minecraft Server has been updated to 1.6.2, which includes 1.6.1 (the horse update). There is no official build for Bukkit yet, so we are running an early development build that supports 1.6.2. There might be issues, bugs, and crashes. Let me know if you run into any problems.
Minecraft has been updated to 1.5, so I have updated the server as well. There is no official build for Bukkit yet, so we are running an early development build that supports 1.5. There might be issues, bugs, and crashes. I have backed up the server before upgrading though, so if we run into problems we can always roll back to before the update. 1.5 is a pretty huge update with a focus on redstone, so get to building guys. I am looking forward to seeing all the new awesome machines.
