GDC has posted a great Postmortem for one of the greatest PC games of all time: Deus Ex. This game is easily in my top 10 favorites, and is a must play. If you never checked it out, go pick up a copy on Steam, install the “New Vision” mod, and prepare to be thoroughly impressed by a 17 year old game. If you have already played the game before, consider checking out Deus Ex: Revision community mod. Revision features new environments, new music, and new world-building detail. It also bundles in some of the best modifications that the fanbase has made over the years, including Direct3D 9 rendering, high-resolution textures, high-detail 3D models, and alternative gameplay modes.
