Well I took some pictures after cleaning and decided to post them. Why did I take pictures? Just to use the digital camera.

First up, my console gaming setup:

I have my HD TV (30 inch widescreen, up to 1080i resolution). My xbox, gamecube, and dreamcast. Notice the empty space in the middle there. Thats reserved for the Xbox 360. I cant wait to get my hands on that and play games like Gears of War. Im going to get some nice surround sound speakers and a reciever eventually. The PC is connected to my TV and I use it mostly to play emulated N64 games at the moment. Running them at like 720p resolution with AA and AF, they look so much better then they ever did on the N64. I currently have a crappy gamepad that I am using though. I need to get some wired xbox 360 controllers (since those work on a pc). Playing smash bros on my current game pad sucks.

Next up, my pc:

My new pc is at my old desk now. I wish I had a much nicer desk though. This one is extremely old. I think we got it with our first pc (I think it was like 80mhz and ran on windows 3.1) so the desk is in pretty bad shape. Anyway, I plan on getting a new keyboard and mouse first. Then I want to get a nice LCD monitor (maybe widescreen, I am un-decided). Then I need to get a soundcard and maybe eventually a physics card. Oh, and of course I am going to SLI the nvidia 7800GT OC once it comes down a bit in price.

Un-leet speak

I hate leet speak. It needs to be banned from all games (and the internet in general). It was funny back in the day but now its just old. Stop using it, its not cool. Get a new keyboard please. I hate when someone types in it and then expects me to be able to read it when every other letter is a number. Not to mention most of these people just make up words with numbers in it. There are specific words that you are allowed to type in leet speak, gr4ndm4 is not one of them. I dont carry around a noob decoder ring so I am not going to notice right away what that is. But for designated words like “h4x”, I know right away what you said. I dont even see the 4 in that anymore. I know it means you’re a noob and you think I hack.

There is no hell.

I just got back from seeing the Doom movie and all I have to say is “What the hell?”. Or better yet, whats with the lack of hell? They took a perfectly functional storyline monsters and turned them into resident evil type monsters. The acting was horrible, plot barely understandable and action barely passable. My suggestion, dont go see this movie. Instead buy the game (or the expansion) with the money you would have spent at the movie theater (because popcorn alone is like $8).

So, whats going on here?

Well, I decided to get rid of the old halo 2 site. Why? Because I don’t play much anymore and let’s face it, you don’t either. So I was thinking about what I could do with this web space and decided to just use it mostly as a place to experiment with php and mysql. Which means you won’t find anything cool here. I might start using this instead of my xanga, but I doubt it. If I use this I doubt anyone will read it.

So really, all you will find here are various projects that I may or may not work on and random comments from me. I may put up a forum if I decide there is a reason to have one, but right now phpbb is off. Halo 2 stat syndications will still work; I have no plans for turning that feature off.

So what am I currently working on right now? Well two things. First I am trying to get a picture gallery up on this site. Second I am trying to write a small php app that will allow you to create a sort of “friends list” for xfire so you can view friend’s profiles from anywhere, even if you don’t have xfire installed. Why? Because one day I suddenly decided I wanted it. I was sitting on my other pc playing halo on live and I wondered if anyone was on xfire, but I didn’t have xfire on the pc near my Xbox. So I decided to write a page where it would have all my friends listed. Then noticed it would be pretty easy to make it into a app that other people could use, so I decided to mess around with it.

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions on something they would like to see on this website, or something they would like me to bring back, please let me know.
